When creating metadata like titles, descriptions, keywords or tags, it is best to avoid jargon and BUZZWORD (1)buzzwords. Keep it factual and use terminology that won’t change too much over time.

Buzzwords are often fashionable terms that fall out of favour or are neologisms, which are terms or phrases which are entering the language which have not yet become commonly recognized by say, dictionaries.

You metadata is what keeps your assets searchable. When terms change meaning or are ambiguous then you won’t retrieve all the appropriate assets in a search that actually relate to your search terms.

A great example of this are the terms Global Warming and Climate Change. These two terms are used interchangeably in the media. Global warming is technically a part of climate change. Which term would be the best to use?
